FAQs
Welcome to our FAQ page. Listed below are general questions which you might have about Eldorado Heights, our Homeowner’s Association, or McKinney in general. If you have other questions which you would like to see posted, you can contact us.
Q: I live in Eldorado Heights. Is this my Homeowners Association?
A: Maybe. Although you may live in Eldorado Heights, you must live within Phase I to be a part of the Eldorado Heights Homeowners Association. To find out if you live with our boundaries, please look at this address table.
Q: Can we use the pool in the newer Eldorado Heights subdivision across Lake Forest Dr.?
A: No. The subdivision across Lake Forrest Dr. is a separate community. True, it is also called Eldorado Heights, but it is actually Eldorado Heights Phase II. While they do have a community swimming pool, they also pay much higher yearly homeowner’s dues.
Q: What do I have to do to make improvements to my property?
A: In order to build or place a structure on your property (such as a shed or a gazebo), you must complete the following steps:
First, mail or fax a drawing, along with a proposal outlining the specifications of the project, to Principal Management Group (PMG) (the management company).
PMG will then forward your proposal to the covenants committee.
The covenants committee will review your proposal to determine whether or not it meets the guidelines set forth in our communities DCC&R’s.
Finally, they will notify you of their decision and work with you to help ensure that community standards are met.
For pools or fences, please contact the city regarding the installation. You must follow certain city codes and obtain the proper permits. (Building Permits phone # 972-547-7450)
